Fred Hill Mechanical has called Modesto home since Fred L. Hill founded the company in 1944. What started as one man’s commitment to quality workmanship and service to the community has grown into a third-generation, family-owned business that has served the Central Valley for nearly 80 years. Located on Needham Street near Modesto Junior College and the Highway 132 bypass, our Modesto headquarters is where our team of certified technicians is dispatched daily to serve homes and businesses throughout the city and surrounding Stanislaus County communities.

In 1948, Fred L. Hill passed the business to his son-in-law John and daughter Gerry Hill Bryhni. John brought strong business management skills, while carrying forward Fred’s foundational belief in quality craftsmanship and community service. Since 1984, Lee and Laird Bryhni have owned and operated the company, building on the lessons they learned from their father and grandfather. Today, the fourth generation is already part of the team — Fred Hill’s great-grandson Chase is being mentored under his father and uncle, learning the business from the ground up. That continuity of values and hands-on knowledge is something you simply can’t replicate.
